Ifrane, often referred to as the “Switzerland of Morocco”, is a small town nestled in the Middle Atlas Mountains at an altitude of around 1,665 meters. It is renowned for its European architecture, lush green landscapes and cool climate, in stark contrast to the rest of Morocco. Ifrane attracts visitors all year round, whether in winter to enjoy the snow and ski resorts, or in summer for its parks and forests.

The town is also home to one of the country’s most prestigious universities, Al Akhawayn University, a center of academic excellence. Ifrane is an ideal starting point for hikes in the Ifrane National Park, where you can spot magot monkeys, lakes and waterfalls.

With its red-roofed houses, flower-filled gardens and clean avenues, Ifrane offers a peaceful living environment, far from the hustle and bustle of Morocco’s big cities.
