WAC and RCA are known for their impressive performances in the CAF Champions League.
The national team, nicknamed the Atlas Lions, has experienced several moments of glory. Their participation in the FIFA World Cup in 1970, 1986, 1994, 1998 and 2018 showcased Moroccan talent on the international stage. In 1986, Morocco became the first African nation to reach the round of 16 at the World Cup, an achievement that remains etched in memory.
Among the great stars of Moroccan football are Mustapha Hadji, voted African Player of the Year in 1998, and Mehdi Benatia, former captain of the Atlas Lions and player for prestigious clubs like Juventus and Bayern Munich.
