It is an important city for the film industry, as it is home to several film studios, notably the Atlas Corporation studio and the Ouarzazate Cinema studio. This makes it a popular filming location for many films and television series, including films such as &#8220;Gladiator&#8221; and &#8220;Game of Thrones&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Outside of the film industry, Ouarzazate is also known for its kasbahs (historic fortresses) and its palm groves. The city is surrounded by mountains and is located near the Sahara Desert, offering opportunities for outdoor activities such as hiking and trekking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ouarzazate is also an important place for agriculture, notably for fruit tree cultivation, olives and grapevines.
