It is characterized by spicy flavors, fresh ingredients and varied cooking techniques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The most famous dishes of Moroccan gastronomy include :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Tagine : traditional dish of Moroccan cuisine, it is a dish cooked slowly in an earthenware container called &#8220;tagine&#8221; which is composed of meat, vegetables and spices.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Couscous : Moroccan national dish, it is made of fine wheat semolina and vegetables or meat. It is generally served with a spicy sauce.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Harira : a thick soup based on tomato, lentils and chickpeas, it is generally served during Ramadan.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pastilla : a sweet-and-salty dish, it is made of puff pastry stuffed with meat or fish and sprinkled with sugar and cinnamon.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Moroccan pastries : like the &#8220;baklawa&#8221; or &#8220;m&#8217;hencha&#8221; which are sweet filo pastries made with honey, nuts and filo pastry.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Moroccan gastronomy is also rich in fresh fruits and vegetables, herbs and spices, and seafood. Ingredients such as olives, almonds, preserved lemons and dates are widely used in Moroccan dishes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Moroccan gastronomy has a great reputation worldwide, it is considered one of the most delicious and varied cuisines of Africa and the Middle East. Moroccan dishes are appreciated for their unique flavor and originality. Moroccan restaurants are present in many countries and Moroccan recipes are often adapted for local tastes.
